everyday life (in africa) photos

Amy found the calf in a pool of blood as she had a large gash about her back hoof.  As there is no vet in this area, Travis consulted with Dr Gibson of CVM and then sewed the calf's leg back together.
After surgery, she recovered just fine!
We are learning how to harvest, process and roast our own coffee beans.
Ants, ants, and more ants...you can only leave food out for just a few minutes before the ants find it.
Travis creates an incinerator for our trash.
The kids think the sound of the grinder for the incinerator is too loud!
Even though the crackers were sealed, tiny ants found a way into the package and ate the crackers from the inside out!
